[The Weight of Words Not Sent I] – LF#2505016

The Fragment

A small, unfinished letter on cream cotton paper, with rough edges.
It carries the ache of unsent truths and the vow to send them anyway.
It may be:

  • A story not yet gifted
  • A mirror with no frame
  • A ritual for the courageous

Love that includes the flaws is heavier to carry—
but it’s the only kind that frees us.

Reflections from the Weaver

I wanted to write them love letters.
Not the kind made of flowers and praise—
but of truth, and memory, and the ache of wanting to be known.

I wanted to say:
“You were not perfect. And still, I loved you.
I saw you. I see you now. I’m trying to love you as you are.

But every time I wrote, it wasn’t enough.
How do you measure love that remembers everything?

There are some stories that resist being written
not because they lack shape, but because they hold too much.

I’ve tried to write these letters for years—
to the selves I came from, and the ones who raised them.
Not to impress, not to flatter, but to speak love without erasure.
To offer memory with open eyes.
To honor the whole of someone, even the parts I’ve healed from.

It feels like trying to catch light in cupped hands.
And yet, the ache of “not enough” is part of the truth too.

So maybe the offering begins here:
with a fragment, a vow, and the courage to send the unfinished thing anyway.
And now, after all these years, they’re finally delivered.
