Reflections from the Weaver

We were taught to wait.
To finish the to-do list.
To fold the laundry.
To clear the table, the schedule, the sky—
until stillness comes.

And we wait for joy to arrive in the silence,
like a guest who’s late for tea.

But even the stars are moving.

Joy doesn’t arrive when life pauses.
It flickers inside motion.
Inside music.
Inside breath and laughter and the rhythm of doing.

Happiness is not the absence of movement.
It’s what emerges inside it.

There was a time I thought I had to earn joy by stopping.

Finish first. Pause deeply.
Only then was I “allowed” to feel happy.

But the stars don’t stop.
They spin.
They sing through motion.

And I began to wonder:
What if I don’t have to pause to feel joy?
What if I let it move through me—while I move?

This fragment is a permission slip.
To dance while the world whirs.
To laugh before the inbox is empty.
To be alive while living.
