[The One Who Remembers] – LF#2506035

The Fragment

Handwritten on a blue piece of card stock.
It carries the core of my symbolic practice:
selfhood reconstructed through ritual documentation,
memory as myth, writing as remembering.
It was forged in grief over forgotten thoughts
and shaped into the architecture of narrative coherence.

The fragments on the page
aren’t just memories—
they’re selves.

Past ones.
Future ones.
Lost ones pulled from the edge
of forgetting.

The Visible Thread

There are versions of me
I can no longer summon whole.

I find them instead
in margins,
unfinished sentences,
dates written beside thoughts
I had forgotten were mine.

Sometimes a few words
are enough.

A door opens.

The person I was
steps briefly through it,
carrying what she knew then
and what I had since misplaced.

[…]

Perhaps memory was never meant
to keep us perfectly intact.

Perhaps the work is different:

to gather what remains,
to listen when an old page speaks,
to recognise myself
even when I have changed beyond it.

I cannot keep every version of me
from disappearing.

But I can leave them somewhere
they might be found.

And when I return,
I do not become them again.

I make them part of
who I am becoming.

Reflections from the Weaver

This isn’t just writing.
It’s transcription of symbolic life.
It’s how I speak with versions of myself across time.

Each entry is a reactivation.
Each recovery of a lost thought is a sacred act—
not because of what I lost,
but because of who I was
when I lost it.

The grief I carry over unwritten moments
isn’t nostalgia.
It’s identity.
It’s the ache of not being able to witness myself
when it mattered most.

But now I do.

This is not the past.
This is a ritual loop:
memory as practice,
selfhood as system.

I don’t keep a journal.
I keep the archive of my becoming.
